We know its tempting to stray from your diet when deciding to eating out, but if you don’t want to, we’ve gone ahead and found some healthy options on the menus of your favourite local restaurants.
The Firepit Restaurant – Rawtenstall
The Firepit has lots of healthy options as well as naughty favourites. There’s really no need to miss out on dining out with this menu. The steak options are great as you choose all of your sides, with options such as jacket potato or new potato as opposed to your usual steak and chips, its easy to choose calorie controlled options.
They also have some great protein packed salads on the menu, the King Prawn and Tuna salads are packed full of protein and low in fat (apart from the dressing!) There are healthy Veggie options too for those of you who don’t eat meat, like the Stuffed Peppers and Halloumi, Veg Skewers.
Anacapri Restaurant – Helmshore
With Italian restaurants, its important to remember that carbs are not your enemy, especially if you’re regularly exercising!
It is possible to choose healthier pasta options, typically ones which contain meat or vegetables to bulk out the dish, and ones containing less cream and cheese. The lower calorie menu options include; Spahetti alla Bolognese, Linguine Pescatore, Linguine Cape Sante and Tagliatelle Contadina.
Casa Tapas – Rawtenstall

The best thing about tapas is as soon as you’re full you can stop eating, and rely on your friends/family to scoop up the rest!
Haslingden Bar & Grill – Haslingden
Despite their reputation for great calorie packed burgers, pastas and pies; Anywhere with a grill menu can provide you with much healthier options.
The menu consists of different cuts of beef steak, pork and lamb, with some chicken dishes thrown in for good measure. The chicken options do tend to come with sauces that can be incredibly high in calories, so be aware when choosing a meat smothered in a sauce!
Similar to the way the menu at Firepit is put together, Haslingden Bar & Grill allows you to mix and match your sides; with both salad and vegetable options.
The Health Hut Rossendale – Rawtenstall (available on just eat!)
So unlike the others, the Health Hut isn’t really a restaurant and they only really do takeaways. But if you’re in a rush, don’t have the time or simply can’t be bothered to cook up a healthy storm, these are your go-to guys.
